If you would like to get a little further and up a few more hills than you can usually manage, then you'll enjoy the latest additions to the fleet - electric bikes. We have two sizes available, which will accommodate anyone between approximately 5'0 and 6'2. The bikes are hybrids so are perfect for the terrain in Filey and the surrounding area. They bikes comes with an "extra comfort" touring saddle and a battery, which has the capacity to power you on your way for up to 50 miles. We also offer early evening guided rides of Filey with the "FIley Electric Bike Tour". And, if you fall in love with the bikes, we now sell them too. Just get in touch, if you'd like to know more about the tour or buying a bike. You can find our hire prices listed with the all the others on our prices page. Please be aware that you must be 14 years or over to hire the electric bikes.
We highly recommend our Trek hybrid bikes for the most comfortable and flexible riding in the area. These alloy-framed bikes come with 21 gears, front suspension and quick release wheels. They come in a range of sizes and we ensure that you get the best bike for your needs.
Fat Bikes are relatively new on the UK market so you may not have come across them before. Their huge tyres are designed for soft terrain, which makes them perfect for very muddy ground, snow & ice and, here in Filey, the beach! Filey Bay's spectacular beach stretches 8km from the white chalk cliffs south of Speeton to Filey Brigg. Our beach bikes are a fun and easy way of taking in the breath-taking views and fascinating geography of these quiet sands. The emphasis here is on fun! We wouldn't recommend cycling along the beach on any other bikes as it's tricky riding, tiring on the legs and isn't good for the bike.
All our children’s bikes are from the Probike range. 2 – 6 year olds can get around on the junior bikes. Just let us know if you’d like us to add stabilisers. For older children, we have a selection of mountain bikes. We recommend that children 12yrs + hire our small adult bikes but this is flexible, dependant on the child’s height. We’ll always match your child’s size to the best bike for them.
If you're on a tight budget and you don't mind a less comfortable ride, then these are the bikes for you. All those in our budget range are Probike mountain bikes. They are heavier than the standard bikes due to having steel frames rather than alloy and have lower specification parts than the Treks.
